We, Henk (baker) and Sabine (cheese expert), completely transformed our bakery in 2015 from a store that sold wallpaper, paint, and more into a bakery with two ovens. In addition to our wide selection of bread, rolls, and pastries, we also offer a fine selection of cheese, along with jams, coffee, hot chocolate, dairy products, and cold cuts...
Our specialty is our bread, rolls, and pastries made with fresh butter. On Fridays and Saturdays, we also bake fresh, crispy rolls at 4 p.m.
Our customers are mainly people from Heule, Gullegem, and Bissegem, but we also have customers who come from further afield (Kuurne, Harelbeke, St. Eloois Winkel, Kortrijk, etc.) because of our delicious products.
The price includes the entire building (living space available with minor renovation above the bakery) and a fully equipped bakery (10 years old).
The roof is completely asbestos-free and has been fully renovated and insulated. Thanks to these upgrades, we have an EPC B rating, and no further renovations are needed to meet energy standards. We also have solar panels on the roof and above our workshop. Another plus!
Our bakery is located on major access roads, and we have three Shop&Go parking lots right outside the door, but there is certainly also parking available in the neighborhood behind our bakery.
Our team consists of 8 part-time and student workers on a rotating schedule every two weeks, all of whom are fantastic women who, together with us, share our passion with our customers. Having a team ready to take over is definitely another plus for the new owners!
Why are we selling our bakery? The night shifts—baker Henk has been in the baking trade for 44 years—are starting to take their toll on Henk, and Sabine’s physical limitations led us to decide to look for a buyer who shares our passion for baking.
It’s also worth noting that there are definitely opportunities for growth, particularly in pastry, since a baker-pastry chef recently closed his shop in Heule. Another asset for a young entrepreneur to capitalize on!
