Overnamemarkt NV, a subsidiary of UNIZO, respects your online privacy and does everything possible to protect your privacy in relation to your use of our services. We are convinced that the protection of your personal data is of essential importance. If we process your personal data, we do so in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation of April 27, 2016 (hereinafter the 'GDPR') and its derived legislation.
Data Controller The data concerned is processed by KMONET NV, Willebroekkaai 37, 1000 Brussels, 0432.182.015 (hereinafter 'KMONET'). According to the GDPR, KMONET is considered the data controller, which means that KMONET is responsible for the correct processing of the data concerned, and that for any questions or to exercise your rights regarding data processing, you can simply contact KMONET.

Why and how do we process your data? The data KMONET processes about you and the way we process that data depend mainly on the reason why we process your data:
- When you subscribe to our newsletter, we process your last name, first name, and email address to complete the subscription. This data is not shared with other parties. You always have the option to unsubscribe by using the unsubscribe button at the bottom of the newsletter or by sending your request to unsubscribe to privacy@unizo.be. After unsubscribing, your data in this context will be deleted.
- When you ask a question to info@overnamemarkt.be or leave a message via our chat function, the data you provide in your question is processed to answer your question. This data is not shared with other parties. Based on KMONET's legitimate interest in building a customer history, we keep this data for up to 3 years after you have asked your question. Afterwards, this data will be deleted, unless you ask us to delete this data earlier.
- When you register for our 'individual advisory sessions Overnamemarkt Sitting Days', we process the data you provide to carry out your registration. Without the mandatory data, we cannot process your registration. This data is not shared with other parties. Based on KMONET's legitimate interest in building a customer history, we keep this data for up to 3 years after your registration. Afterwards, this data will be deleted, unless you ask us to delete this data earlier.
- When you create an account on our website to offer a company, participation, or commercial property on the Takeover Platform, we process the data you provide when creating an account to carry out your registration and to offer your advertisements on our platform. Without the mandatory data, we cannot process your registration. This data is not shared with other parties. However, based on our legitimate interest in prospecting, your data may be used for communication to keep you informed of KMONET's offerings. You can object to this processing at any time via a simple notification to privacy@unizo.be. When you delete your account, we keep your data until the end of the applicable contractual limitation period.
- When you respond to an advertisement from a seller on the Takeover Platform by filling in the contact form, we process the data you provide to enable contact with the provider. Without the mandatory data, we cannot process your request. This data is not shared with other parties, with the exception of the seller, of course. Based on KMONET's legitimate interest in building a customer history, we keep this data for up to 3 years after you have asked your question. Afterwards, this data will be deleted, unless you ask us to delete this data earlier.
- If you visit our website, 'cookies' may be placed to ensure the website functions properly. Your data or surfing behavior is only tracked if you give your consent. Be sure to read our cookie policy for more information.
- In the event KMONET receives an inspection from the government, certain data may also be requested by the inspection services. In such a case, KMONET may be obliged to transfer certain data to the inspection in order to comply with the legal obligation to cooperate with the inspection.
Notifications regarding your privacy are passed on to UNIZO vzw, Willebroekkaai 37, 1000 Brussels, 0410.337.219, Privacy department, which processes these notifications on behalf of KMONET.
How long do we keep your data? Unless otherwise specified above, we keep your data for the applicable legal limitation period for any (extra-)contractual claims (5 – 10 years). The data we process to comply with our accounting obligations is kept for 7 years as prescribed by law. If you object to the processing of your data based on our legitimate interest, the data concerned will be deleted immediately, unless we also need this data for another purpose, and we have obtained the data for that purpose.
Your rights regarding the processing of your data Regarding the data we need to execute the agreement and comply with our accounting obligations, you have the following rights:
- Right of access: you have the right to ask us for access to your data, and to the purposes of the processing, the retention period, the legal basis, etc.;
Right to rectification: in case of any incorrect data, you have the right to request immediate rectification, or to complete incomplete data;
Right to restriction of processing: if you exercise the right to rectification, you also have the right to ask us to temporarily not process your data until your data is correct again. This right to restriction of processing also applies in the cases described in Article 17 of the GDPR;
- Right to erasure: you have the right to request that we erase your data when this data is no longer necessary for the purposes for which it is processed;
- Right to data portability: you have the right to receive the data we process about you in a structured, commonly used, and machine-readable format and the associated right to transmit this data to another data controller; You can exercise these rights easily and free of charge by a simple request to privacy@unizo.be.
Regarding the data we process based on a legitimate interest, you have the rights described above, supplemented with:
- Right to object: you can object to this processing at any time via privacy@unizo.be. KMONET will respond to this request as soon as possible, but in the meantime, you also have the right to request a restriction of the processing of your data until your request has been granted.
