The historic Drie Fonteinen park in Vilvoorde is classified as a protected cultural-historical landscape. Within this park, you will find the Pachthoeve, a real gem dating from 1895, which is also an architectural heritage site. Over the past 125 years, the farm has served various functions: from agricultural business and residence to campsite with offices for Expo 58, radio studio, and clubhouse.
Today, De Pachthoeve is being given a new future. The farm consists of several buildings surrounding a cobbled courtyard: a coach house, a barn, and a hunting lodge.
In the coach house and the farmhouse, project developer Heem is realizing a unique cohousing project that maintains an open relationship with the surrounding park. There are no fences or gates here.
At the request of the city of Vilvoorde, the hunting lodge will be given a public (or semi-public) function. On behalf of Heem, we are looking for a person or organization to develop and operate the hunting lodge within the framework of a long-term leasehold agreement.
What is possible here? This could include, but is not limited to:
- a community function (e.g., assisted living, daycare, child or youth care, etc.)
- a liberal profession (e.g., general practice, therapy room, or rehabilitation center, provided that group sessions are offered—but also a coworking space)
- a niche hospitality business (e.g., a unique restaurant, creative café with workshops, or small-scale guesthouse).
The operator of the future venue may also live in the Hunting Lodge. As a resident operator, you will also have the opportunity to enjoy the benefits of the cohousing project in the leased farmhouse. This includes the use of the communal areas such as the swimming pool, sauna, community center, spacious bicycle shed, and courtyard garden.
